You have 14 HCP and since you found the ♠ fit and you will be Dummy you get to count Dummy points. But you really don't have anything extra for Dummy points.
Bidding 2♠ shows a minimum opening hand. Which is what you have. I know those ♠ are FABULOUS but if you jump to 3♠ Partner will think you have 17 or 18 points. If you bid 2♠ you keep the partnership safe and happy at a low level.
