Partner opens the bidding 2NT. This shows 20 or 21 HCP with a balanced hand. Your RHO (Right Hand Opponent) says "Pass". You have agreed to play both Stayman and Jacoby Transfers over a 2NT opening bid. What is your call?

    Hi Heidi. How many points do you need to bid the 3 clubs?

    Bidding Stayman over a 2NT opening from Partner shows the values for a game. But as Partner should have 20 points minimum you would only need a good 5 points. That combined with Partner's 20 should give you the 25 points needed for game.
