Introducing the Take Out Double
Responding to a Take Out Double with a Weak Hand
When partner makes a take out double you MUST bid – even if you have no points. So if you have some points you need to let partner know you have something nice. Perhaps they have a little extra and can now bid game.
With 9-11 HCP bid your LONGEST suit JUMPING a level. You are forced to bid so when you have points you want to let Partner know you have a little bit of something. Perhaps they have a little bit extra and can now bid game.
So with that in mind what do you respond with each of these hands when your LHO opens the bidding 1♣, Partner says "Double" and your RHO Passes?
