Do NOT bid 2♥ on this hand. Remember Partner could have bid 1♥ but they didn't. They responded 1♠.
What if partner had 5 spades and 4 hearts? Wouldn't she have bid spades first?
ReplyDeleteYes, Partner would bid 1 Spade first. But then once you respond 2NT your Partner would then bid 3 Hearts. This would show at least four Hearts (and therefore at least five Spades). You could then raise to 4 Hearts and you would have found your four-four Heart fit.
